SOCCER: The Brandon Flames under-15 boys team recently advanced to the final four of the State Cup tournament, which will be held in Weston next month.
The Flames have won the tournament four consecutive times. To get to the final four, the Flames defeated Plant City 2-0, Miami Strike Force 2-1 and the St. Petersburg Surf 6-0.
BASEBALL: The Dunedin Blue Jays will host a high school home run derby June 1, featuring players from area schools. The contest begins at 5 p.m., to be followed by the Jays' 6:30 game against Jupiter.
One senior representative from each area high school is eligible to compete. Each player will have seven outs in the first round, with the top four advancing to the final. Each finals participant will have 10 outs.

BASKETBALL: The Jesuit Fundamentals Camp is open for registration. Camps will be held for boys in grades 3-8. There will be two sessions, June 4-8 and June 11-15. Each session runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost is $80 per session with a $10 discount for families or those attending both sessions. GOLF: The 2001 Summer Golf Series will benefit patient services programs.
Tournaments will be a two-person scramble format at Countryway Golf Club, 11111 Waters Ave., Tampa. Entry fee includes lunch, drinks, prizes and awards. Tournaments are scheduled for June 14, July 12, Aug. 9 and Sept. 13.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Cost is $40 per person per tournament or $160 (prepaid) for all five tournaments. Hole sponsorships are available for $125 for the series.
