Wax, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound running back and defensive back, compiled more than 2,300 all-purpose yards this past season.

Northwood went 10-2 and earned its first playoff berth in 2000. The Timberwolves have won at least a share of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title the past two seasons.
