Worker stable after falling 14 feetBy Times staff writers © St. Petersburg Times, published May 25, 2000 RIDGE MANOR -- A construction worker was hospitalized Wednesday after he fell 14 feet off a one-story house near Ridge Manor. Oscar Salizar, 45, of 1848 Brook Road in Dade City was working on the roof of a house at 4845 Mockingbird Drive at 3:45 p.m. when he stepped down on a ladder that shifted, said Hernando County sheriff's spokeswoman Deanna Dammer. As Salizar fell, his head struck an air conditioning unit. Salizar, who works for the general contractor Back To Basics of Zephyrhills, was flown to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. His boss, Pat Holcer, said he was in stable condition Wednesday evening. 51-year-old charged in lewd actMASARYKTOWN -- A man faces a charge of lewd and lascivious exhibition after authorities say he exposed and fondled himself in front of two girls. Norval Fred Berry, 51, of 16339 Hviezdoslqv St. in Masaryktown, is accused of fondling himself March 21 while standing in front of a window of his home as the girls, ages 12 and 14, rode by on bicycles, a sheriff's report said. Berry turned himself in Wednesday and was taken to the Hernando County Jail, where he was released the same day on $5,000 bail. Woman faces additional charges A woman previously charged with attempted murder now faces more charges of aggravated battery, two counts of throwing a missile into a dwelling and criminal mischief. Dawn Marie Moynihan, 35, of 12220 B Street in New Port Richey is accused of harassing Terri Snyder, of 5019 Tiburon St. in Spring Hill, because Snyder refused to let Moynihan live with her, a Hernando County sheriff's report said. Authorities say Moynihan shot into Snyder's house Sunday morning. After Moynihan's arrest, Snyder told investigators about a prior incident in which Moynihan threw a brick through a window of the home, the report said. The new charges stem from this accusation. Moynihan remains in jail in lieu of $16,000 bail.
