The pitchers

Albie Lopez

Lopez (3-4, 3.94) makes his 10th start. He left his last start, a loss Saturday against Detroit, after bruising his right thumb. He is 3-2 with a 2.45 ERA against the Angels, his lowest against an AL opponent. He was 2-0 with a 1.46 ERA against them last season.

Pat Rapp

Rapp (1-4, 5.06) has one complete game in nine starts. This is his 11th appearance and ninth start against Tampa Bay. He is 4-1 with a complete-game shutout and a 3.64 ERA lifetime against the Rays and was 2-0 with a 2.95 ERA in three starts against them last season.
