2000 All-Citrus/Hernando boys track team

ATHLETES OF THE YEAR: Brent Mobley and Cory Presnick, Citrus

COACH OF THE YEAR: Tom Darby, Citrus

Aondre Greene, Sr., Hernando: District champ in 100 meters; missed regional title in 200 meters by 0.01 seconds; sixth at state in 200 (22.29).

Rodney Lacey, Sr., Citrus: Conference and district champion in discus; seventh at state.

Rick Miller, Jr., Citrus: Earned district and regional championsnips in 800 and had a county-best time; third at state; also anchored 4x800 relay.

Tarrence Rhodes, Sr., Crystal River: After an undefeated regular season, finished third at state in the 400.

Trever Scales, Soph., Central: District champion in 800 meters; anchored runner-up 4x800 relay for Bears at district meet.

Joel Tierson, Sr., Hernando: District champion in 1,600 and 3,200 meters; ran on 4x800 relay at state meet.

Jay Trepen, Sr., Springstead: District champion in high jump; qualified for regionals in long jump, triple jump and 4x100 relay.

Quinton Wallace, Sr., Springstead: District champion in 100 and 200 meters; ran on district-winning 4x100 relay.

Citrus 4x100 relay (Doug Alexander, Phil Davis, Kendrick Ross, Brent Mobley): Set a school record of 42.96; also won district title and was second at conference.

Lecanto 4x400 relay (Marcus Parrish, Mike Perrino, Jimmy Moore, K.J. Atkins): Finished sixth at state after shocking the field and winning the regional title.
