JOB JOY: Paycheck aside, what makes workers happy? Friendship. Fifty-nine percent of workers polled by career service company TMP Worldwide say interaction with fellow workers is the highlight of a day's work.

"E' FOR EXTRANEOUS: Working Americans receive an average of 20 e-mails a day, read about three-quarters of them and consider only about half of them important. That's according to a survey by Infogate, an Internet information company in New York.

ORANGE: It's the hot new color in advertising. Companies ranging from Toyota to Voicestream Wireless are using it in commercials aimed mostly at luring young people or introducing new-tech wares.

370,000: About that many temp jobs have been lost since September, the Bureau of Labor Statistics says in its April employment report.

DOS AND DON'TS: New York career counseling group The Five O'Clock Club offers these tips to job-hunting college graduates: Familiarize yourself with a company before an interview. Sit on the edge of your seat to show interest. And keep those tattoos and body piercings covered.

HANDS DOWN: Seven in 10 people support a ban on using cell phones while driving, according to an ABC News poll of 1,027 adults this month. But only three in 10 favor banning use of phones that leave a driver's hands free.
