BrieflyBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published May 29, 2001 Conference on aging scheduled at USFAnyone who works in the field of aging is invited to attend the conference on aging from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. June 5-7 and 12-13 at the USF Suncoast Gerontology Center, 12901 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa. Topics include alternative therapies, preventing adverse drug events, anxiety disorders, quality litigation, risk management and more. Fee is $175 or $40 daily (includes parking, breakfast, lunch, resource materials and continuing education credits). Call (813) 974-4355. Volunteers neededTwo Gulf Coast Community Care programs are looking for volunteers to spend time with children. The Linking Lifetimes program needs adults ages 35 and over to spend two to four hours a week interacting with children ages 9-13 or serving as a mentor and role model.
