DAYSTAR LIFE CENTER 6751 W Gulf to Lake Highway, provides food to those people who normally would not be helped by state agencies. Needed: canned and dry foods of all types, grocery store gift certificates, peanut butter, personal hygiene items, volunteers and towels. The center needs cash donations for utility bills and rent. Inverness

CITRUS COUNTY ABUSE SHELTER ASSOCIATION (CASA) assists women and children who have been victims of abuse within the home. Many have left bad situations with nothing more than the clothing on their backs. Needed: canned meats, personal hygiene items, paper products, cleaning supplies, toys, household items, furniture, baby furniture and cash. Volunteers are also welcome. Call 344-8111 or 564-8882.

CITRUS COUNTY FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER (Citrus County Health Department) 120 Montgomery St. provides support for families. They offer support groups for both children and parents as well as after-school tutoring and education for parents. They have a large library of books and videotapes. There is no charge for services. Needed: school supplies, baby furniture, children's clothes, clothes for large women, strollers, play pens, and volunteers. Call 344-1001.

CITRUS UNITED BASKET 210 N Apopka, provides clothes and emergency food boxes for needy families. Needed: canned goods, cereals, bread and dry food products, diapers, clothing, furniture, cribs, lamps, dishes, pots and pans, linens, drapes, cash, sheets and volunteers. Call 344-2242.
