Movies: Top Five

Current movies recommended by the Times.

1. Startup.com -- Riveting documentary of the rise and fall of an Internet company and two friends who started it. Timely and fun. Tampa Theatre only.

2. Memento -- Ordinary murder mystery becomes something special since the story is told backward. Clever technique makes this limited-run film worth seeking out.

3. Moulin Rouge -- You'll love and hate Baz Luhrmann's film, sometimes in the same scene. Gaudy, bawdy and always kinetic, even when the material gets stale.

4. Angel Eyes -- Jennifer Lopez drops the diva routine for a strong performance as a depressed cop figuring out a mysterious "guardian angel" (Jim Caviezel).

5. Pearl Harbor -- The summer movie season continues with a bang and Ben Affleck. Less history than Tora, Tora, Tora and more romance than From Here to Eternity.
