1. Karrie Webb: The defending U.S. Women's Open champion dominated the LPGA Tour the last two years and is Sorenstam's No. 1 rival.
2. Juli Inkster: Two years removed from a storybook season, Inkster is an LPGA Hall of Famer who always gets up for the big events. She won the Open two years ago.
3. Se Ri Pak: Not nearly as dominant as during her rookie year when she won the Open in 1998, Pak is still a force and has two victories this year.
4. Dottie Pepper: One of the fiercest competitors, Pepper has yet to win this year, but she does have 17 career LPGA titles.
5. Lorie Kane: After numerous near-misses, Kane won three times last year and added a victory this year in Hawaii, where she defeated Sorenstam.
