SEFFNER -- Residents of a duplex were forced from their home Wednesday night after a massive sinkhole opened up in their yard and under part of the building's foundation.

The family that lives at the duplex at 5325 Lemon Ave. gathered up a few belongings and left, authorities said. The sinkhole is 50 feet deep and 15 feet long.

Authorities cut electricity to the building and said they would monitor the hole overnight. Dry weather has caused at least three sinkholes to open in the past three days in Hillsborough County.
