ROTARY CLUB: The New Tampa Rotary Club will host its weekly breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. in the Palms Room at Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club, 5811 Tampa Palms Blvd. Steve Brockman will speak on "TECO -- History and Background." COMPUTER CLASSES: The following computer classes will be offered from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Fridays at the Bob Sierra Family YMCA, 4029 Northdale Blvd.: Introduction to Microsoft Word, June 8 and 15; Introduction to Microsoft Excel, June 22 and 29; Introduction to Microsoft Publisher, July 6 and 13; and Introduction to Microsoft Windows, July 20 and 27. CONSERVATION FUNDRAISER: The Eco-Conservation Committee at Lowry Park Zoo is sponsoring a conservation fundraiser garage sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Sunday. FAMILY FUN WALK: The New Tampa Family YMCA, 16221 Compton Drive, will take part in a 5K run and family fun walk along with 700 cities across America. The synchronized starting time is 10 a.m. for the run and 10:45 a.m. for the family walk. Registration fee is $15; free for children 5 and under. Proceeds will benefit the Tampa YMCA Outreach programs. A post-run celebration for the entire family will include contests, prizes, special recognition for the oldest YMCA member in attendance and the oldest YMCA T-shirt contest. ANTIOCH YOUTH CHOIR: The Antioch Youth Choir of Wesley Memorial United Church, 6100 Memorial Highway, will present its Summer Tour 2001 Worship Service at 7 p.m. The choir will present "Hope of Glory, Christ In Me" through song, drama and dance. AARP MEETING: The AARP Greater Keystone Chapter No. 3555 will meet at 1 p.m. at Keystone United Methodist Church, 16301 Race Track Road. Greg Hackley, of PRIDE will discuss its innovative program. PRIDE stands for Program to Recognize Initiative and Distinction in Education and honors students who excel in school. The meeting is open to prospective members. PARENTING CLASSES: Catholic Charities is sponsoring a class for parents of teens from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today through July 9. The six-session video and discussion program will be held at St. Paul's Parish Center, 12708 N Dale Mabry Highway. It offers skills to help parents communicate with their teenagers and provides suggestions on how to address critical issues such as drug and alcohol use, teen sexuality and violence. EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE: The Mediation Institute at the University of South Florida, 4202 E Fowler Ave., will offer 40-hour family mediation workshops at various times June 14-16 and 21-23. Early registration fee is $875 due by today, or $925 regular fee. The state continuing professional education program is limited to individuals with law or accounting degrees or master's and doctoral degrees in the social or behavioral sciences. Others may enroll with permission of the instructor. Family mediation is used to resolve disputes that often arise during and after divorce. The program, approved by the Academy of Family Mediators, provides practical training and skills development. The workshop will be held at USF's Westside Conference Center. ONE-ACT SCRIPTS SOUGHT: The Carrollwood Players, a not-for-profit organization, is seeking one-act scripts for its fifth annual "One-Act Weekend."
