All-county girls tennis team

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Kelly McCain, Sr., Saddlebrook

COACH OF THE YEAR: Jamie Vargo, Hudson

First team

KELLY McCAIN, Sr., Saddlebrook: McCain took a break from the USTA circuit to lead the Spartans to their first state title. McCain also won a state title in No. 1 doubles.

CRISTINA LUCIN, Jr., Wesley Chapel: State semifinalist in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. Three-time district champion in both events.

EMILY SECHAUD, Sr., Saddlebrook: District and regional champion teamed with McCain to win No. 1 doubles state crown.

COURTNEY DWYER, Sr., Zephyrhills: Became leader as team's No. 1. Only Lucin was better in county's public schools.

DIANA VINIS, Jr., Saddlebrook: State, regional and district champion at No. 3 singles.

Second team

ASHLEY COX, Jr., Saddlebrook: State, regional and district champion at No. 4 singles.

NIKKI PRACK, Sr., Hudson: Won 15 of 18 matches to lead Cobras to first SAC crown.

PAULA CLAUSNITZER, Jr., Wesley Chapel: Teamed with Lucin in No. 1 doubles to reach state semifinals.

JEN SUAREZ, So., River Ridge: Moved up from No. 3 to No. 1 to lead SAC runner-up River Ridge.

KATHLEEN COOK, Sr., Hudson: Went 16-2 at No. 3 to provide depth for Cobras.
