When left-hander Joe Kennedy starts for the Rays on Wednesday, it will end a streak of 219 games of being all right. The last time the Rays had a game started by a left-hander was Oct. 2, 1999, when Wilson Alvarez -- remember him? -- faced the Yankees. The streak is the longest in the AL since Oakland went 346 games from May 1991-June 1993, and longest overall since the Dodgers went a record 681 games from September 1992-July 1997.
