Leto marching band members may sign up now for campBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published June 4, 2000 Leto High School's annual marching band camp runs July 31 to Aug. 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the high school. Students planning to be in the band at Leto High must attend the camp. Cost is $50, which includes supplies and lunch. Students must bring an instrument in good condition and wear comfortable clothing. Sunglasses, hats and sunscreen are recommended. Any student who wants to use a school instrument must contact the band director, Dale Preston, as soon as possible. Members will also be fitted for marching band uniforms and shoes. In addition, all percussionists who plan to be in the drumline must attend Drumline Camp June 18 to June 21 at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg. Cost is $100.
