The West Pasco Chamber of Commerce has hired Judy Parker to fill a new position of events and marketing coordinator.

Parker is the former marketing director for the now-defunct Pasco Visitors and Convention Bureau. She previously owned Tonnie's Florist in downtown New Port Richey from 1984 to 1998. She served as executive director of the West Pasco-Tarpon Springs Board of Realtors from 1975 to 1984. Parker, 52, is also the wife of former New Port Richey City Councilman Frank Parker.

At the chamber, she will coordinate Business Development Week, Sunset Scholarship Tradeshow, the Downtown New Port Richey Holiday festival and street parade, and the annual chamber banquet. New Port Richey Mayor Wendy Brenner will continue to coordinate Chasco Fiesta. Parker started work Monday.
