Storm offensive specialist James Bowden was named the Arena Football League's Player of the Week Monday.

Bowden set team records for receptions with 15 in the Storm's 58-51 win against Carolina on Saturday, and his 184 yards were third-best in team history. The North Carolina A&T product had five touchdowns (one rushing) and 300 all-purpose yards.

It was Bowden's fifth time eclipsing 300 all-purpose yards in his career, an Arena record. Bowden is the first Storm player to earn weekly honors since June 20, 1998 when quarterback P.T. Willis was picked.
