Dade City man charged with punching teenager
DADE CITY -- A 37-year-old man was arrested Monday after he punched a 16-year-old boy, a sheriff's report stated.
Leon Arthur Hemminger II, of 12906 Ellen Road, hit the boy in the mouth with a closed fist while they were arguing, deputies said.
The boy, whom deputies declined to name, suffered a cut on the inside of his lip that was 1 inch long and a half-inch deep. He was treated at Pasco Regional Medical Center in Dade City and released.
Hemminger faces charges of child abuse.
He was taken to the county jail in Land O'Lakes, where he was released Tuesday on his own recognizance.
