Offshore fishing has begun to heat up again. Recent trips to 105 feet have been producing quite a few keeper grouper and mangrove snapper.
For best results, try a chum block under your boat. This will help get the bite going and increase your odds of catching big mangos.
Also remember to carry a couple of light action rods this time of year. Don't use any weights, just a single No. 2 hook. A lot of schools of chicken dolphin are showing up and this is a must to catch them. When a school of dolphin comes under your boat, throw out a handful of cut bait, then when the bite starts, flip your light action rod with cut bait into the school. Remember to leave one fish in the water to keep the others attracted around it.
