Members of Stage West Children's Theater don big noses and floppy shoes today for the opening of the musical Clowns, which runs through Sunday at the theater, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Clowns tells the musical story of a troupe of young clowns in search of life's true meaning. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $6 adults, $3 children. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Thursday and Saturday and an hour before each show. Call (352) 683-5113.

Celebrate cross-cultural musical diversity when The Strangeways and Nueve Lunas kick off the Groovewell Concert Series at 9 p.m. today at the Orpheum, 1902 Avenida Republica de Cuba, Ybor City. The Strangeways, from Sarasota, play ska with horns, blending reggae, jazz and R&B. Nueve Lunas are a promising new Latin jazz rock outfit featuring longtime local musician Frank Martinez, who sings and plays percussion. Tickets are $5. Call (813) 254-0759 or (813) 248-9500.

See life on the Seminole Indian reservation through the works of Guy Labree during a talk at 6 p.m. today at the University of South Florida's St. Petersburg campus, 140 Seventh Ave. S, Davis Hall 130. Labree will display and discuss his paintings on the ancestry and culture of the Seminoles in a talk titled Seminole Lifeways. Tune in for more tense courtside excitement as the Indiana Pacers tip off against the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Championship Series tonight on NBC. 9 p.m.

Vivien Leigh, the Oscar-winning actor who dealt with tuberculosis, mental illness and alcoholism during her troubled life, is profiled on tonight's Biography on A&E. Leigh's more famous films include Gone with the Wind and A Streetcar Named Desire. 8 p.m.

In case you're not sure what all the hullabaloo was about, check out the return of The Sopranos as reruns commence tonight on HBO. In the first episode of the second season, Tony adjusts to his life as a new boss; Christopher expands his business enterprises; Tony's sister arrives. 10 p.m.
