Devil Rays slip past Tigers

ST. PETERSBURG -- Rod Smith went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Matt Diaz doubled in the winning run in the sixth as the Devil Rays beat the Lakeland Tigers 6-3 on Wednesday.
Smith doubled and scored two. Eddie Kofler allowed three runs on six hits in seven innings for his third win. Ronni Seberino earned his second save.
DUNEDIN 3, CHARLOTTE 2 (10): Orlando Hudson homered and Joe Lawrence drove in a run for visiting Dunedin. Chris Baker pitched 12/3 scoreless innings for the win, and Jarrod Kingrey earned his 17th save.
