THE BEAR FACTS: The black bears of Chassahowitzka will be the topic at the Chinsegut Nature Center's speaker's night at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The event is free. To reach the center, take U.S. 41 north of Brooksville 7 miles, then turn left onto County Road 476 and go 1 mile. The nature center is on the left side of the road. For information, call 754-6722.

KITCHEN SINK ART: The work of Spring Hill Art League Artist of the Month Valdora Ward will be on display through the end of June during business hours at the Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative, 10005 Cortez Blvd., west of Brooksville. With wildlife as her subjects, Ward uses feathers, wood, denim and furniture in her work. The exhibit is free. For information, call 596-4000.

TIME WARP AGAIN: The Rocky Horror Show opens July 13 and continues weekends through July 22 at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Shows are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $14 for adults. The theater's box office is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and one hour before each show. Call (352) 683-5113.

Curtain calls

Stage West Community Playhouse will have auditions for Three Murders and It's Only Monday at 7 p.m. today and at 1 p.m. Saturday at the theater, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Parts are available for five men and four women ages 20 to 60. Production dates are Thursdays and weekends Sept. 6-23. The director is Toni Best. For information, call 683-5113.

The Nature Coast Children's Festival Singers will hold auditions by appointment for Peter Pan. Parts are available for three boys ages 6-12. No previous experience is necessary.
