Teen in critical condition after being struck by carBy Times staff writers © St. Petersburg Times, published June 9, 2000 SPRING HILL -- A 17-year-old remains in critical condition after she was struck by a car Monday night. Jessica Renee Campbell of 8075 Canterbury St. in Spring Hill was standing by her disabled car Monday in the center lane of U.S. 19 near Applegate Drive when another car coming from the south hit her vehicle and then struck her, a Florida Highway Patrol report said. She was flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg with serious injuries. The driver of the car, William P. Kiesel, 83, of 6021 Dorset Road in Spring Hill was not injured, nor were the three other passengers in his car or the other passenger in Campbell's car. Former teacher pleads no contest to drug chargesBROOKSVILLE -- Former Hernando County Teacher of the Year nominee Michael Craig Herbolsheimer, 26, of Tarpon Springs, pleaded no contest Wednesday to charges of possession and sale of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Herbolsheimer, who taught math at Fox Chapel Middle School and most recently taught at Palm Harbor University High School, was arrested in November at Capone's Billiards on County Line Road after 17 grams of marijuana and $100 were exchanged with an informer. © St. Petersburg Times.
