Baseball

ECKERD CAMP: Eckerd College will have a camp for boys and girls 6-14 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through June 22 and June 25-29. The fee is $125 per week. For information, call (727) 864-8253.

SHORECREST CAMP: A camp conducted by Shorecrest head coach Don Reed and assistant Bobby Thigpen, a former major-league pitcher, is scheduled July 16-20 for players 8-15. The cost for the camp at Shorecrest Baseball Complex, 5101 First St. NE, is $100. For information or to register, call 525-1464.

ADULT LEAGUE: The Pinellas NABA is seeking players 18 and older. Games are played at the Devil Rays spring training complex. For information, call (727) 492-8436.

Basketball

ECKERD CAMPS: Eckerd College will have three camps this summer. For information on any of the following, call (727) 864-7877.

Fundamental camp: For boys and girls 7-17. It will run from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. June 25-29. The fee is $185 per week.

Beginners camp: For boys and girls 7-12. It will run 8:30 a.m.-noon June 25-29. The fee is $95 per week.

Residential camp: For boys 10-16. It will be at Florida Elks Youth Camp in Umatilla, near Ocala. The fee is $325 per week.

CALVARY CHRISTIAN: Calvary Christian School is having camps. A camp for boys in grades 7-9 is scheduled for Monday through June 22; for girls in grades 3-6, July 16-20; and for boys in grades 3-6, July 9-13 and July 23-27. Camps run from 9 a.m.-noon. For information, call (727) 449-2247.

FARRAGUT CAMP: Admiral Farragut Academy will be having camp sessions. A session for boys and girls in grades 6-9 is scheduled for Monday through June 22. A session for boys and girls in grades 3-9 will be June 25-29. The sessions run from 8:30 a.m.-noon and cost $70. For information, call Mike Wells, (727) 347-3023.

PINELLAS PARK: An AAU team for girls 12-14 based at Pinellas Park Boys and Girls Club is seeking players. For information, call (727) 544-8668.

ADULT LEAGUE: The City of St. Pete Beach Department of Leisure Services is forming a men's 30-and-over summer league. Games will be played on Thursday nights. The 10-week season costs $300 per team. Registration continues through June 21. Teams must pre-pay to reserve a spot on a first-come first-served basis. For information, call Shawn Daily, 363-9244.

Football

THUNDERBIRDS SIGN-UPS: The Pinellas Park organization will have registrations Sunday, 6:30-8 p.m.; June 30, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.; July 14, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.; and July 21, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The registration fee is $60 for players and $50 for cheerleaders. A birth certificate, Social Security number, two small photos and a parent or guardian are needed to register. For information, call 541-4292.

Azalea Youth Football will have registrations Saturday, as well as June 30, July 7, July 14 and July 21. Registrations will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Azalea field house, 1400 72nd St. N. Evening registrations, 6:30-8:30, will be July 21. The fee is $55 for the first child, $45 for the second and $35 for the third. The fee for flag football or cheerleading is $40. The equipment fee is $35 for football and $80 for cheerleading. Youths 5-15 are eligible. Registrants should bring two small photographs, their Social Security number and birth certificate. They must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For information, call 345-4798.

DIXIE JR. REBELS: The Rebels will have registration for football and cheerleading from 12:30-2 p.m. June 23 at 7400 62nd Ter. N. Registrants should bring two small photos of themselves, a copy of their birth certificate, Social Security number and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The fee is $55 per family plus $15 per child. For information, call 544-6399.

Hockey

JUNIOR LIGHTNING: The Tampa Bay program is recruiting 8-10-year-olds for its Competitive Squirt Hockey Team for the fall season. All skaters will be considered, and all positions are needed. For information, call coach Ron Kuruc, (727) 540-9571.

Running

Soccer

CLEARWATER ASSOCIATION: The Clearwater Soccer Association's under-11 Rebellion team will be holding tryouts Saturday (9-10:30 a.m.), Tuesday and June 21 (7-8:30 p.m.). Tryouts will be on the St. Pete Junior College fields at the corner of Drew Street and Old Coachman in Clearwater. Call Allan Beaver, 536-9443, for information.

Major League Soccer Camps is returning to Clearwater. The camp is scheduled for July 30-Aug. 3 from 6-9 p.m. It's open to players 6 and older. Players of all skill levels are invited. The $105 registration fee includes a ball, t-shirt and a ticket to any MLS game. For information, call Allan Beaver, (727) 536-9443.

CLINICS PLANNED: The Strictly Soccer program will be having a clinic June 22-24 from 6-9 p.m. The cost is $85. A final clinic is scheduled for July 7-8 from 6-9 p.m. The cost is $60. OUTLAWS TRYOUTS: The Oldsmar program will have tryouts for under-13 through under-17 players Saturday, 7:30-9 p.m.. Tryouts will be at Canal Park on Tampa Road. For information, call (727) 772-7554.

Softball

SPIRITS TRYOUTS: The St. Petersburg program is holding ongoing tryouts on Sundays at 5 p.m. at Campbell Park, on Fifth Avenue S off 16th Street. Sponsors are needed. For information, call manager Signa Quandt, (727) 522-7090.
