Deputies seek three youths in robberyBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published June 14, 2000 NEW PORT RICHEY -- Pasco County sheriff's deputies are seeking three juveniles who punched a man in the face, stole his wallet and fled in a silver Buick on Sunday. Noel Cruz, 42, told deputies he was drinking with friends at 8320 Blueberry Drive and did not remember the exact time he was attacked. He said three white men, probably juveniles, knocked him to the ground and removed his wallet in the parking lot outside his friend's mobile home. A witness told deputies that the men took the wallet and then fled in a silver Buick toward Little Road. New Port Richey man held in road rage caseHUDSON -- A New Port Richey man was charged with aggravated battery with a motor vehicle after allegedly slamming his girlfriend's car into another car on Little Road andthen fleeing the scene. Deputies' reports said John Ryan Drake was driving his girlfriend's 1993 red Mazda on the afternoon of May 13 when he became angry and struck the car in front of him, which was driven by Lori Ogline. Ogline told deputies Drake was tailgating her car, a 1999 white Chrysler Sebring, and motioning for her to move. When she did not change lanes, she said, Drake accelerated and hit her car, and then backed up and hit the car again, as if trying to push her into a busy intersection. Then he sped off. Drake was driving with a suspended license. He was held Tuesday at the Land O'Lakes jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. Suspect in man's slaying is moved to Pasco jailNEW PORT RICHEY -- A man charged with the first-degree murder of a Veteran's Village man has been moved from the Polk County jail to the Pasco County jail. Authorities say Robbie Robinson, 21, of Lakeland killed Lawrence V. Pollock in Pollock's villa at 2953 Westmoreland Court on May 13. Robinson said Pollock had picked him up hitchhiking out of Tampa. Pollock, 51, was an advertising salesman. Robinson was being held in Polk County on an unrelated charge of defrauding an innkeeper. On May 20, Pasco County sheriff's deputies charged Robinson with murder. Pasco jail officials won't say when Robinson was moved to Pasco County.
