1. Atlantis: The Lost Empire -- Mild-mannered museum worker (voice of Michael J. Fox) seeks the mythical city to prove his grandfather's theories. Mature animation from Disney's own empire.

2. Swordfish -- John Travolta is back in the groove as criminal mastermind of a sexy, violent computer-hacker heist. Two X-Men, Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman, co-star.

3. Memento -- Ordinary murder mystery becomes something special since the story is told backward. Clever technique makes this limited-run film worth seeking out.

4. Moulin Rouge -- You'll love and hate Baz Luhrmann's film, sometimes in the same scene. Gaudy, bawdy and always kinetic, even when the material gets stale.

5. Shrek -- A lovable ogre (voice of Mike Myers) rescues a princess (Cameron Diaz) and movie plans for families in DreamWorks' animated trifle.
