Silver Dollar wants to add more lots for RVs, homesBy EVE LEBERSON
© St. Petersburg Times, KEYSTONE -- Seeking to encourage mobile homes more than recreational vehicles, the Silver Dollar Golf and Trap Club wants to make minor changes to its complex on Patterson Road. National Home Communities, which owns the business, filed the requests in two separate petitions. For the property on the east side of Patterson, the Arizona-based company wants to cancel plans for a previously approved convenience store and add five recreational vehicle spaces. The 57-acre site is now approved for the convenience store, 80 RV spaces and a mobile home. For the 372 acres on the west side of Patterson, NHC seeks to increase the number of mobile home spaces from 190 to 303. A land use hearing officer is scheduled to hear both petitions July 31. (Petitions 01-1040 and 01-1041) KEYSTONE: County commissioners approved a request by the Zambito Family to rezone 112 acres on Van Dyke Road, east of Ramblewood Road, to permit a shopping center and large-lot homes. County staff, the Planning Commission and a zoning hearing master endorsed the project. (Petition 01-339) KEYSTONE: At Tuesday's land-use meeting, Taylor Woodrow Communities asked commissioners to continue its request to use county approved right of way along Race Track Road for additional buffering and scenic paths. The BOCC rescheduled the petition for the June 26 meeting.(Petition 01-0673) LUTZ: Waterford Construction & Development's petition was also continued to the June 26 meeting. The company wants to build an office park on Dale Mabry Highway, south of Cheval Boulevard.
