BASEBALL: The Florida Marlins will hold two tryout camps for players ages 15-18.

The first camp will be today at Tampa's Joe DiMaggio Complex. The second will be at the University of Tampa on Saturday. Registration for both camps begins at 9 a.m., and the camp will last until approximately 1 p.m. American Legion players must have a letter from their coach allowing them to participate.

The San Diego Padres will hold a tryout camp for players ages 16-23 at 9 a.m. today at Durant High. For more information, call Joe Bochy at (813) 787-8865.

SOFTBALL: The Tampa Bay Nighthawks are seeking players who can challenge for a starting position. Players who will celebrate their 50th birthday during 2001 are eligible to play.

TAE KWON DO: The Tampa Bay Sports Commission is looking for volunteers to work during the tae kwon do U.S. Junior Olympic championships July 2-7 at the Tampa Convention Center.

The event will involve 5,000 of the top tae kwon do athletes from age 6-17 from throughout the country. Volunteer duties range from athlete registration and timekeeping to athlete escorts and hosts.

Volunteers will be asked to work five-hour shifts and will receive a T-shirt, meals for morning and evening shifts and parking. For information, call (813) 350-6557.

SOCCER: An adult six-on-six tournament is scheduled for St. Petersburg June 22-24.

The Sun til Moon Clash tournament will be played at the 31st Street Sports Complex.

Teams will play one game Friday and two Saturday, with the championship to be decided on Sunday. Teams may compete in any of the seven men's, women's and mixed divisions.
