Kids usually can be entertained with just a flip of the remote control button to their favorite cartoon. Now they have the opportunity to be the cartoon.
Toon Disney, the 24-hour all-cartoon channel, and Time Warner Cable are inviting local kids to the Florida Aquarium Saturday for "Toon Disney's Most Animated Kid Search."
Kids 4 to 14 will get to show off their "tooniest" side on camera.
Local winners will get Toon Disney prizes and have a chance to compete for the national grand prize: a trip for four to Hollywood to be animated in a real cartoon that will air on Toon Disney.
What is expected from the kids?
Children are to stand in front of a green screen and act as "wacky and toony" as they can. The footage on camera is instantly transferred to a special effects screen above the stage. Props will be supplied.
A parent or guardian must accompany all contestants.
