The pitchers

Albie Lopez

Lopez (3-9, 5.59) has lost eight decisions in a row, the longest current streak in the AL. After starting 3-1 with a league-leading 1.66 ERA by April 24, he is 0-8 with an 8.63 ERA. Lopez is 0-1 with a 3.08 ERA in three starts against the Yankees.

Mike Mussina

Victimized by poor run support, Mussina has been one of the more consistent pitchers in the AL this season. He has pitched seven innings or more in nine of 14 starts. Mussina is 4-2 with a 4.30 ERA in nine career starts against the Rays.
