Reception to open national juried show

ARTISTS UNLIMITED -- The seventh annual National Open Juried Show brings in 34 artists from 14 states, chosen by prominent New York critic and gallery director Ivan C. Karp. The show opens with a reception, 6-9 p.m. tonight, with best of show announced at 8 p.m. The exhibit continues through Aug. 4, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. TARPON SPRINGS CULTURAL CENTER -- Exhibiting artist Jane Arnold will be honored with a reception 1:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday, just before the Florida Lyric Opera's performance of 100 Years on Broadway. MERRICK MIX -- From the cool sculptures of Richard Beckman to the mysterious photos of Anna Tomczak, new works at Merrick Gallery offer a broad range for lovers of contemporary Florida art. The show opens with a reception 6-9 p.m. tonight and continues through July 30 during hours noon-6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; noon-8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
