LITTLE LEAGUEBy Compiled by SCOTT MASSEY © St. Petersburg Times, published June 24, 2000 TAMPA -- More than 130 District 6 and District 13 Little League baseball and softball teams are preparing for their double-elimination all-star tournaments, which will be played today through July 9. District 6 teams are: Northside, Belmont Heights, Citrus Park, Palma Ceia, West Tampa, Keystone, Tampa Bay, Interbay, Bayshore, Northwest and Skyway. District 13 teams are: Bloomingdale (National and American), North Seminole, Belmont, Antioch, Land O'Lakes, East Bay, South Brandon, East Point, Lutz, North Brandon, Temple Terrace, Progress and Southeast. The teams will compete in four age divisions -- 9-10-year-olds, Majors, Juniors and Seniors -- with the Majors competing for a shot to play in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. © St. Petersburg Times.
