Citrus: Political scene

The Citrus County Democratic Executive Committee, which normally meets on the third Wednesday of the month, will not meet this month, July and August. However, DEC officers and committee members will meet during the summer months to plan the countywide Democrat's Salute to Labor picnic scheduled for Sept. 1. The Sugarmill Woods Democratic Club will have Citrus County Sheriff Jeffrey J. Dawsy as the guest speaker at its meeting on Saturday at Southern Woods Golf and Country Club, 1501 Corkwood Blvd., Homosassa. The club meets the last Saturday of the month for breakfast at 10 a.m. followed by a meeting at 10:30 but it will not meet in July and August.
