© St. Petersburg Times, Slippery road blamed for fatal collision PORT RICHEY -- The much-needed rain that soaked Pasco this weekend caused a three-vehicle crash that killed a New Port Richey man Saturday. Florida Highway Patrol investigators said Daniel Michael Clancy, 19, of 15905 Homewood Lane was driving south on Little Road at 11:07 a.m. when he lost control of his 1985 Chevy "due to the rain-slick road," a report said. Clancy's car struck a 1993 Subaru driven by Glenn L. Pickeral, 48, of 9105 Jasmine Blvd. Pickeral's car spun across the median into the northbound lanes and into the path of a 1997 Ford Expedition driven by Lusiana B. Loman, 51, of 8482 Cessna Drive. Pickeral died at the scene. The other drivers escaped injury. Man accused of molesting girlPORT RICHEY -- A 31-year-old man was arrested Saturday night on charges he molested a 12-year-old girl while playing with her. The girl told Port Richey police that at 7 p.m. Saturday a man she identified as Wayne Thomas Martino, 7110 Embassy Blvd., fondled her. Martino was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation and was being held on $25,000 bail Sunday night. Dade City man held in stabbing incidentDADE CITY -- A Dade City man was charged with aggravated battery after he admitted to Dade City police that he had stabbed another man over a quart of beer Saturday night, an arrest report said. Bobby Lee Slater, 29, of 18711 Powerline Road and John Timothy Thomas, age and address unavailable, got into a fight over the beer at 14717 Seventh St. outside the office of Able Body Temps at 11:35 p.m. Saturday. During the fight, according to police, Slater pulled a knife and stabbed Thomas on the left hip and on his right arm. Police said Thomas turned to run and was stabbed in the lower left back.
