Bauman led the Tigers to the Class 2A state title with a 30-2 record. Jesuit also earned its first-ever mythical national championship as it landed atop the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.

George's Chiefs won their third consecutive state golf title after leading by 20 strokes after the first day.

Sickles pitcher Julie Henneke was named the Softball Player of the Year and Wharton's Dwight Ellick, who won 100- and 200-meter state titles, was named the Male Track Athlete of the Year.
