Blue brings clue search to the Bay area

Blue brings clue search to the Bay area

Blue is back. The star of Nickelodeon's Blue's Clues and all her friends -- Slippery Soap, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper, Mailbox, Side Table Drawer, Shovel, Pail and, of course, a befuddled adult named Steve -- returns to the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center through Sunday.

The show, which played the center in August, has all the elements of the popular television series. Blue leaves paw prints on clues to help Steve, played by Thomas Mizer, solve a puzzle. The production uses costumed characters, larger-than-life puppets, lasers, inventive set design, "snow" that falls on the audience, music and Peter Pan antics in the air.

Each child receives a Handy Dandy Notebook and a crayon to help keep track of the clues.

The show is at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. today; 7 p.m. Fri.; 11 a.m., 2 and 5 p.m. Sat. and 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sun. Tickets are $11-$26, $5 for babies 18 months and younger on a parent's lap. (813) 229-7827 or toll-free 1-800-955-1045.
