FLYING FISH CHEF: 6:30 p.m. today, Michael's on East, 1212 East Ave. S in Midtown Plaza, Sarasota. Florida's Finest Chefs dinner and wine pairing series showcases guest chefs' culinary talents. 40 YEARS OF COOKING PLEASURES: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Fri., Williams-Sonoma, 732 S Village Circle, Hyde Park, Tampa. Chuck Williams, founder of Williams-Sonoma kitchen, home and specialty food stores and catalogs, will sign copies of his book Celebrating the Pleasures of Cooking, chronicling 40 years of food and entertaining trends. INTERACTIVE SEAFARING DINNER: 6:30 p.m. July 6, Pattigeorge's Restaurant, 4120 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key. Chef Tommy Klauber leads the way in monthly interactive dinners. Each table chooses a different "chef" among them for each course and, under chef's direction, creates a three-course dinner tableside. SUNCOAST COOKS' APPRENTICESHIP GROUP: Open registration for Cooks Apprenticeship Group. All apprentices must work 40 hours a week at a related job under a journeyperson and attend evening classes at the Pinellas Technical Education Center, Clearwater, over a two-year period.
