Spring Hill teen arrested for sexual act with boy, 9By Times staff writers © St. Petersburg Times, published July 1, 2000 SPRING HILL -- A 14-year-old boy faces a charge of lewd and lascivious conduct after authorities say he offered another boy two Pokemon cards if the 9-year-old would perform a sexual act on him. The younger boy originally said no to the teen's request but then agreed once the cards were offered, police said. The boys were caught by the teen's mother, who called police, a Hernando County sheriff's report said. The Times is withholding the teen's name because of his age. He was arrested Thursday and later sent to the juvenile detention center in Ocala. Knife-wielding robber holds up Brooksville storeBROOKSVILLE -- Police are looking for a man who robbed a store Thursday night. Authorities say a thin, 6-foot white man in his 20s walked into the Shop N' Save Food Store, 920 Cobb Road, in Brooksville at 9:16 p.m., put an 8-inch kitchen knife to a clerk's throat and forced him to open a cash register, Brooksville police Chief Ed Tincher said. The man took money, ran out of the store and was later seen getting into a car that sped away. Officials have no suspects. © St. Petersburg Times. All rights reserved. |
