TARPON SPRINGS -- One person was hurt late Monday night after a New Port Richey man lost control of his Ford Bronco on U.S. 19, causing it to flip on its roof, police said.

Jeffrey L. Vincent, 38, was driving southbound on the 40000 block of U.S. 19 about 11:05 p.m. when the accident occurred, Tarpon Springs police said. He was not injured, but a passenger, Barbara Jean Deese, whose age and address were not available Tuesday, suffered back injuries. She was treated and released from Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital. Vincent was charged with driving under the influence after police found two open cans of cold Budweiser in the truck. He was released from Pinellas County Jail on $250 bail.
