BASEBALL: Five Pinellas County players are participating in the 10th annual Team One National Showcase today through Saturday in Tempe, Ariz.

East Lake's Jeff Germano (shortstop), Osceola's Jimmy Kubek (pitcher/outfield), Dunedin's Brian Dopirak (first base/outfield) and Northside Christian's Steve Doetsch (outfield) and Lastings Milledge (outfield) are among the 120 players who were invited to attend.

Germano, Kubek, Dopirak and Doetsch are rising seniors. Milledge is one of just two rising juniors participating.

Dopirak, Doetsch and Milledge were first-team All-Pinellas choices by the Times this season, and Kubek was an honorable mention selection.
