Hamburger U?
Power of the dining dollar in Florida shows up in the executives on the new boards of trustees at state universities:
USF: Outback's Chris Sullivan.
UF: John Dasburg of Burger King.
FSU: Manny Garcia, of Pebbles, Burger King and Manuel's in Orlando.
New College: John Cranor III of KFC, Long John Silver's.
I'VE HAD ENOUGH . . .
Sharing charges. Not-so-fine print on First Watch menus has a pleasant surprise: "No extra charge if you share or ask for an extra plate" although breakfast and lunch tabs are only $4 to $8. Sure a few cheapskates and connivers bedevil restaurants, but small appetites and small wallets need to share; nice to see an outfit big enough to be generous. Tippers should be too.
