1. Sexy Beast -- Ben Kingsley is scarier than a pack of Reservoir Dogs, playing a sociopath shoving a mobster (Ray Winstone) out of retirement for another heist.
2.A.I. Artificial Intelligence -- Steven Spielberg's version of Stanley Kubrick's vision isn't perfect, but it's a worthwhile event for cinephiles. Great performance by Haley Joel Osment as a robotic Pinocchio.
3.Atlantis: The Lost Empire -- Mild-mannered museum worker (voice of Michael J. Fox) seeks the mythical city to prove his grandfather's theories. Mature animation from Disney's own empire.
4.Swordfish -- John Travolta is back in the groove as criminal mastermind of a sexy, violent computer-hacker heist. Two X-Men, Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman, co-star.
5.Moulin Rouge -- You'll love and hate Baz Luhrmann's film, sometimes during the same scene. Gaudy, bawdy and always kinetic, even when the material gets stale.
