© St. Petersburg Times, Educators honored for their work Sara Carroll, who teaches students with specific learning disabilities at Morgan Fitzgerald Middle School, received the 2001 Exceptional Student Education Teacher of the Year award from the Suncoast Chapter 176 of the Council for Exceptional Children. Kathleen Larson, a teacher of SLD students at Plumb elementary school, received the Jack R. Lamb Rookie Teacher of the Year award. Jo-An Cline, a speech-language pathologist at Frontier Elementary School, received the School Clinician of the Year award from the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologists. Foundation chooses new presidentTerry Boehm has been named president of the Pinellas County Education Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides funding and support for educational initiatives. Before this appointment, he served as president of the Hillsborough County Education Foundation and as executive director of the Polk County Education Foundation.
