Dealer's countdown
By Compiled by JOHN ROMANO © St. Petersburg Times, published July 9, 2000 Brad Radke has signed a new deal and Mike Mussina has announced he will not waive his no-trade rights. That leaves Schilling, 33, as the most attractive pitcher on the market. Schilling has made it known he wants out of Philadelphia, and the Yankees are said to have him at the top of their list. "It's flattering and greatly appealing," Schilling said of the Yankees rumors. Philadelphia general manager Ed Wade, however, continues to say he has no interest in trading his ace. Given Schilling's recent history of shoulder problems, Wade probably would be wise to take advantage of New York's desperate need for pitching and get some value before the right-hander breaks down again.
