ERA Suncoast Realty recently announced that Margi Elson, Realtor, and the team of Daniel R. Sloan and Millie J. Sloan, broker-associates, are the newest million dollar producers for 2001.

ERA American Realty has announced that Angela Popp is the top listing associate and Jackie Davis is the top selling associate in the Inverness office for June.

ERA American Realty and Investments recently announced the addition of the following personnel: Brenda Grothier, sales agent, will be at the Homosassa office. She moved to Citrus County two years ago from Syracuse, N.Y., and has 15 years combined experience in retail sales. Ken Swihart of the Inverness office moved to Citrus County in 1996 from Indiana where he graduated from Indiana State University and worked in the printing industry for more than 10 years. He was formerly on the staff at Calvary Christian Center in Inverness. Sharon Nodar becomes a sales associate in the Inverness office. She is originally from Long Island, N.Y., and has been a resident of Citrus County for more than 20 years. She has a degree in accounting and has been working in the accounting profession for the past eight years.

The Citrus County Chamber of Commerce and Central Florida Community College will sponsor their first Business Development Series Seminar, "Customer CareWorld-Class Service," from 9 a.m. to noon on July 17 at the Fort Island Trail Park Conference Facility in Crystal River and Aug. 23 in the Citrus County Commission meeting room, Inverness. The seminar will focus on skills needed for successful encounters between a business and its customers including behavior skills, problem-solving skills, calming skills, and telephone skills. V. Gail Easley is the instructor. Cost is $25 per person for chamber members. Registration forms are available at either chamber location, 208 W Main St., Inverness, or 28 NW U.S. 19, Crystal River. The public is encouraged to check with the Better Business Federation prior to purchasing any goods or services. Consumers may lodge complaints by calling the office for a complaint form weekdays from to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 795-3547 or 307-9222.

The Citrus County SCORE Chapter 646 offers free, confidential counseling services to new and existing businesses in the county. The counseling covers a range of business-related topics. For an appointment, call 621-0775.

The Smithsonian Institution is displaying its "Yesterday's Tomorrows" exhibit at the historic Citrus County Courthouse. The Citrus County tourism industry will be learning about the exhibit and other programs planned by the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum Board from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at a tourism business meeting. Bring a fellow tourism businessperson and your business cards or brochures for this informal meeting and opportunity to network. Suncoast Business Masters meets at noon Wednesdays at Crystal Paradise Restaurant, 508 N Citrus Ave., in Crystal River. Suncoast Masters networks through leads from members. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central Florida meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Cypress Room in the administration building of Citrus Memorial Hospital. The purpose of the foundation is to grant wishes to children ages 2 1/2 to 18 that have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. For information, call 621-5437.
