© St. Petersburg Times, Honors and awards Jacob Alldredge, a 1997 magna cum laude graduate of the St. Petersburg High School International Baccalaureate program, received a fellowship to study in the Netherlands from the Netherlands-America Foundation. The organization, founded in 1921, works to reinforce relations between the Netherlands and the United States and provides financial support in education, cultural exchange, historic research and charity. Alldredge was accepted into the Honors College at the University of Florida, where he majored in physics and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree. He was active in the university's chapter of the Union of Concerned Scientists and served as an officer in Amnesty International. Alldredge plans to study condensed matter physics in the Netherlands, and upon his return he will begin the doctoral program in physics at Cornell University. He is the son of Craig and Arlene Alldredge of Safety Harbor. Alex Cramer, who will be a senior at Largo High School, recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. At Largo High, he received an award for best attendance in his diesel engines class. As a Scout, he earned 21 merit badges and served as senior patrol leader, assistant patrol leader, and troop and guide master. For his Eagle Scout project, he planned and supervised a landscaping and beautification project for the entrance at Fire Station 35, Pinellas Park. Cramer plans to become a firefighter. He is the son of Craig and Tina Cramer of Largo. Palm Harbor University High School's Aftermath 2000 was named All-Florida Yearbook by the Scholastic Press Association. Yearbooks were judged on coverage, design, writing and photography. Editor Ian Peterson won first place in the yearbook sports division, and the on-the-spot team placed third in the computer-aided yearbook design contest.
