A native of New York state, he worked for 34 years as a public accountant and corporate fiscal officer, including five years as chief financial officer of the Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau. He is an avid fly fisherman and writer. His first book, a historical novel about the former Soviet Union, was published by the Columbia University Press in March. NewHomes.com expands marketRichard Davis, president and chief executive officer of NewHomes.com, an online real estate company that uses the Internet as its primary marketing stage, has expanded into the Denver market. The NewHomes.com site features more than 40,000 new home images. Based at 2963 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd., Clearwater, the business began in 1992 as a two-person operation. Lefkowitz Public Service Alumni Award for 2001 for his commitment to working for the disadvantaged. The award was presented recently by the Dean of Fordham University School of Law in New York City at the school's Public Interest Resource Center.
