BANKING: William C. Beiler has been named executive vice president and chief credit officer at Raymond James Bank, St. Petersburg. Beiler was the founding organizer, president and chief executive of CNLBank, formerly Alliance Bank.
Cami Gibertini has been named vice president and manager for Mercantile Bank's new Brandon location. Gibertini was employed by Valrico State Bank, Riverview.
Rudi Thompson has been named executive vice president, human resources director for Republic Bank, St. Petersburg. Thompson was corporate first vice president, human resources relationship manager for SunTrust Bank's Central Florida region.
Thomas A. Wellner has been named vice president and senior trust administrative officer for Northern Trust Bank, St. Petersburg. Wellner was senior fiduciary officer and risk manager for Bank of America's largest private bank center.
EDUCATIONAL: Roberta Kemp Flowers has been named director of the new Center for Advocacy at Stetson University College of Law, St. Petersburg. Flowers teaches trial advocacy, evidence, criminal procedure and professional responsibility and joined Stetson in 1993.
ENGINEERING: George J. Stepanchak has been named senior project manager for QORE Property Sciences, Tampa. Stepanchak was geotechnical engineer for U.S. Engineering Laboratories Inc., New Jersey.
HEALTH CARE:SRI/Surgical Express Inc., Tampa, has announced the following promotions: Wayne R. Peterson, to chief operating officer; and Alex H. Edwards III, to president. Peterson is a founding member of SRI/Surgical Express and was executive vice president of operations; Edwards was senior vice president, responsible for sales.
David Williams has been named president and chief executive for the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Williams was chief executive at Montgomery Regional Hospital, Blacksburg, Va.
LEGAL: Ed Koren has been named chairman of the Estate and Gift Tax Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Koren is chairman of the trusts and estates national practice group for the law firm Holland & Knight, Tampa.
PROFESSIONAL: Ted Couch is the recipient of the 2001 Gen. Schwarzkopf Pioneer in Prostate Cancer Award. Couch is a philanthropist and former chairman of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.
William H. Griffith has been named affiliate member liaison to the Florida Attraction Association board of directors. Griffith is general manager of the Pier, St. Petersburg.
Ralph M. Shenefelt has been named general manager for the American Safety & Health Institute. Shenefelt was business development manager at EMP International Inc., Oregon.
MARKETING: Josh Howard has been promoted to district manager of Vector Marketing in Clearwater. Howard was sales manager and has been with the company since 1999.
RETAIL: Hank Harrison has been promoted to national vice president at Fletcher Music Centers, Clearwater. Harrison was a regional manager and has been with the company for more than 10 years.
TECHNOLOGY: Doug Delashmutt has been named director of technology development for Audio Visual Innovations Inc., Tampa. Delashmutt was director of marketing services and director of network operations support for Intermedia Communications.
Alfred Giordano has been named to the advisory board for Forefront Inc., Tampa. Giordano leads Inergy Group's online division.
Ray Minter has been promoted to vice president of programs for Group Technologies Corp., Tampa. Minter was vice president of business development.
REAL ESTATE: Leah Swinson has been promoted to vice president of the luxury home division for Arvida Realty Services, Clearwater. Swinson was marketing director for Arvida in Palm Beach County.
