Stop me if you've heard this one, a guy walks into a doctor's office and learns how laughter has been linked to combatting disease. University Community Hospital today offers a free lecture on humor therapy from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Helene Golabek will present the lecture on "Laugh Your Way to Good Health" at UCH Health Source at University Mall, 2254 E Fowler Ave. Golabek, director of UCH Volunteer Services, will discuss how emotions have a direct impact on your health, and she will show how humor and laughter have been linked to combating many diseases. It's the dog days of summer so Great Explorations: The Hands On Museum at The Pier (3rd floor), 800 Second Ave. NE, St. Petersburg, naturally features "Veterinarian's Office," an exhibit that teaches kids about caring for pets in Florida. Museum hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $4 for ages 3-55, $2 for seniors. (727) 821-8992.

Summer camp begins today at Frog Prince Puppetry Arts Center and Theatre, 210 S Pinellas Ave., Suite 158, Tarpon Springs. An exhibition featuring international artists, "Journey through Vision," is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Syd Entel Galleries, 247 Main St., in Safety Harbor. The exhibit is free. Call (727) 725-1808.

In the HBO documentary George: A Family Documentary, an autistic 12-year-old is given a video camera and documents the world around him in a way that raises questions about perception and about what is truly "normal." 6 p.m.

The 1996 made-for-TV movie For Hope stars Dana Delany as a woman stricken with a potentially fatal disease, scleroderma. A schoolteacher, she must turn to her family for support. Also stars Polly Bergen and Harold Gould, on ABC. 8 p.m.
