Softball

Players 55 and older, regardless of ability, are needed for existing teams in a senior citizen coed league.

Games are played year round at Bicentennial Field No. 5 in Crystal River on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1 p.m. Those interested can apply at the field on game days or by calling Tom Gwalthney, (352) 628-0663.

Baseball

Tryouts for Team Florida AAU Fall Baseball will be held July 21-22 at Central Ridge Baseball Complex from 4-7 p.m. The tryouts are for the 9-and-under, 11-and-under, 12-and-under, 13-and-under and 14-and-under divisions.

Team Florida is an official AAU program. Coaches will be trained by Crystal River High School coach Brent Hall. All area players are invited.

A second tryout is scheduled for Aug. 4-5 at 4 p.m. for players who miss this first one. For information, contact Chuck Rabold, (352) 465-5049, or Rick Swanson, (352) 527-4440.

Soccer

The East Citrus Soccer League is looking for volunteer coaches for its upcoming season. A training class is required. The classes, which are free, are scheduled for Tuesday, as well as July 24, Aug. 8, Aug. 23, Sept. 13 and Sept. 18. For information, contact Bill Stephen, (352) 344-8305.
